Refresher Course

If you are about to take your driving test and are a little nervous, our refresher course will prepare you for the state driving exam. 

Teen Programs

Happily serving the Huntley, Crystal Lake, Lake in the Hills, Algonquin and Woodstock area high schools. 

Adult Programs

Adult driving lessons are scheduled on an individual basis.

  • Must pass the mid-term and final written exam with an average of 80% on the first attempt.
  • Must complete six hours of behind the wheel instruction and six hours of observation.
  • Road Tests may only be scheduled during daylight hours.
  • All testing routes are pre-approved by the state.

Teen Driver Training


Green Light Program     $425       

  • 30 Classroom hours

                   15 sessions, 2 hours each, Monday through Thursday

  • 6 Hours of behind the wheel - Driving time
  • 6 Hours of behind the wheel - Observation time


Flexible drive schedules

Most students are eligible for their permit during the first week of class

This program is designed for teens to complete their Illinois High School requirements of a driver's education course, apply for their learner's permit, and prepare for State required tests to obtain an Illinois State driver's license.


Illinois State requires students to complete 30 classroom hours, any missed classroom sessions must be made up to meet those requirements.


Behind-the-wheel sessions are in 3-hour blocks.  1 1/2 hours of drive time and 1 1/2 hours of observation.


Yellow Light Program     $425

  • 6 Hours of behind the wheel - Driving time
  • 6 Hours of behind the wheel - Observation time


Flexible drive schedules


This program is designed for teens who have completed a 30-hour classroom program at a different Illinois State-approved facility (current high school or commercial driving school). They only need to complete their behind-the-wheel requirements.


To sign up for this program, teens must have a valid learner's permit and proof of classroom completion, and a passing grade.


Behind-the-wheel sessions are in 3-hour blocks.  1 1/2 hours of drive time and 1 1/2 hours of observation.  (These are not private lessons)


Behind-the-wheel requirements are completed within two weeks if the student has completed the 50-hour parent log.


Red Light Program     $375

  • 30 Classroom hours

                   15 sessions, 2 hours each, Monday - Thursday


This program is for teens who need to fulfill their Illinois High School requirements of a driver's education course, but do not intend to challenge the road test or obtain a driver's license.



Secretary of State Road Test     $50
